WIN Reality VR/Mobile

WIN Reality Baseball on Oculus Quest | Oculus

WIN Reality Companion App on the App Store (apple.com)

A VR baseball training app with mobile companion app. Released in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

As a Producer, I:

  • helped a VR development team clean up, unify, and improve their JIRA workflows.
    • admin’d custom workflows and transition functions.
    • maintained JQL filters on custom dashboards as workflows and sprints changed.
    • added custom fields as needed for leads to help track cross-department approvals.
  • relieved overwhelmed leads with managing their teams (art, engineering, design).
    • assisted a rising art lead with anticipating dependencies and deadlines via Gantt charts.
    • talked with leads to understand anxieties and provide suggestions on pain points.
  • shepherded 9 major app releases and 8 minor/patch releases of the VR app to the Oculus Store in 2022.
  • assisted in maintaining progress on the mobile companion app through multiple internal iterations to eventual release in 2023.
    • ran backlog grooming and bi-weekly sprint planning with an external developer in Europe.
  • supported the pipeline by making development and release builds of our VR app, and automated that process with Powershell and various CLI (PlasticSCM, Git, Unity, S3, Oculus).
    • wrote thorough documentation on both the manual build process as well as the tools I had created to speed up that process.
  • provided the teams sanity through multiple restructures and re-organizations as processes were added and changed.
    • Organizational structure changed as the dev team grew and the departments added managers.
    • Business added a Product Team and various C-level execs to help with broader initiatives involving marketing and customer support.
    • Team switched from 6-week development cycles to 2-week sprints following SCRUM rituals.
    • Dev team was split into vertically-integrated feature teams.
